Eight Hallett & Perrin attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers as top practitioners in their fields for 2024. These attorneys were chosen for their service, professionalism, and legal excellence across a range of practice areas, including business litigation, corporate finance, and employment law.
Co-founder Bruce H. Hallett and shareholder Ann Marie Cowdrey were recognized for their work in securities and corporate finance law. Shareholders Tom M. Dees III and James N. Henry, Jr., along with firm president and managing shareholder Leland C. de la Garza, were named for their work in business litigation. Shareholder Monte K. Hurst and of counsel Robert E. Luxen were named for their work in employment and labor law. Timothy Vaughan, shareholder and chairman of the firm’s transactional section, was recognized for his work in securities and corporate finance.
Super Lawyers attorneys are selected following a multi-step process that includes peer nomination and independent research. Only 5% of attorneys in Texas make the list each year.

Recognition by Texas Super Lawyers is the latest in a series of accolades earned by Hallett & Perrin attorneys this year. In August, The Best Lawyers in America selected six Hallett & Perrin attorneys for recognition on its peer-selected list of outstanding lawyers; several were included in the annual Best Lawyers in Dallas list published by D Magazine; and the firm as a whole was recognized by Chambers Regional Spotlight’s list of outstanding mid-sized law firms. In addition, emerging talent Jesse Beck was named to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and Rising Stars by Super Lawyers earlier this year.
