These four honorees – among other Hallett & Perrin attorneys – also appeared on the most recent edition of Texas Super Lawyers, which recognizes service, professionalism, and legal excellence across a range of practice areas.

This year marks Ms. Cowdrey’s tenth Best Lawyers in Dallas recognition. Her practice is concentrated on transactions involving private equity funds, and she is especially focused on energy-related investments in transactions involving the full life cycle of their funds. Given her fluency with market fund terms, Ms. Cowdrey regularly advises institutional limited partners and family offices in making private equity, venture capital, and other alternative investments.

Another double-digit honoree with 12 years of D Magazine recognitions, Mr. Hurst is a zealous advocate for his clients in employment and business litigation, class action defense, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and fraud. Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, he represents clients of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to small startup businesses.

As Hallett & Perrin’s co-founder, Mr. Hallett has focused his career on handling multi –million- and billion-dollar corporate finance transactions. He regularly represents publicly held entities and private growth companies, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, financings, corporate governance, and federal securities regulation compliance.

Mr. de la Garza, Hallett & Perrin’s president and managing shareholder, has been described as a “superb tactical attorney,” by one oil and gas client. Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, he has held this litigation distinction since 2002, a distinction achieved by less than one percent of Texas attorneys.
