Hallett & Perrin Welcomes Cooper Overcash as Shareholder

Hallett & Perrin has strengthened its business transactions, real estate, and financial services capabilities with the addition of veteran corporate attorney Cooper Overcash.

Cooper advises businesses on complex and high-value transactions, with experience serving clients in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, real estate, and banking. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, complex financial transactions, corporate formation and governance, and corporate restructuring.

“Cooper brings sophisticated experience and a practical understanding of the business considerations that drive important deals,” said Leland C. de la Garza, Hallett & Perrin’s president and managing shareholder. “His experience strengthens our ability to provide clients with the high-level corporate and transactional counsel they need while maintaining the personal, shareholder-level service that has always been central to our firm.”

Before joining Hallett & Perrin, Cooper practiced at an international law firm in Dallas. His experience gives him a strong foundation for handling sophisticated transactions while fitting naturally within Hallett & Perrin’s business-focused, relationship-driven approach. His addition as a shareholder further strengthens Hallett & Perrin's bench of experienced attorneys serving businesses throughout Texas and beyond.

Cooper earned his J.D. and MBA from the University of Virginia in 2016 and graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor's degree in economics in 2012.
