Hallett & Perrin’s Nikki L. Laing to Present at the 22nd Annual UT Law CLE ‘Changes and Trends Affecting Special Needs Trusts Conference’

Hallett & Perrin’s Nikki L. Laing will be a featured presenter at UT Law CLE’s 22nd annual “Changes and Trends Affecting Special Needs Trusts Conference” on February 5, 2026. The program brings together leading practitioners, academics, and fiduciaries to discuss the latest legal, tax, and administrative developments shaping special needs planning.

Nikki will present “A Checklist of Tax Considerations for Trust and Will Modifications and Reformations,” a practical and timely session focused on helping identify and navigate tax implications when updating or restructuring estate planning documents. Her presentation will provide attendees with actionable insights and a framework they can use in real-world planning scenarios.

As a CPA, attorney, and former business owner, Nikki delivers sophisticated estate planning strategies for high-net-worth families, professionals, and entrepreneurs. She advises fiduciaries on complex trust and estate administrations, prepares gift and estate tax returns, and is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Nikki is licensed in Texas and Arkansas and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

We encourage estate planners, trustees, and special-needs planning professionals to join this year’s program for high-value education and practical tools to bring back to their practices.
