Stewart is a 4th-generation Dallas attorney and professional independent trustee. With a background as a business litigation attorney, Stewart’s diverse practice ranges from serving as family general counsel, trustee, and executor to several prominent Texas families, advising and handling a wide variety of unique legal matters. Stewart reclaimed the intellectual property rights for Sammy Davis Jr.’s Estate and recovered a clients’ priceless Picasso painting. He also successfully defended filmmaker Errol Morris in a suit brought by a witness in his award-winning film The Thin Blue Line.
Stewart has tried cases in 5 decades, both as plaintiff and defendant, in both state and federal courts, in Texas, Colorado, California, and New York. Stewart represents some of Dallas’ most prominent citizens, some of the worlds’ largest corporations, and a whole lot of everyday folks who need someone to stand up and fight for them.
