Amy is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience handling a wide spectrum of complex litigation matters, including commercial litigation, Federal qui tam actions, products liability, consumer financial services disputes, legal malpractice, and class action litigation.
Prior to joining Hallet & Perrin, Amy served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel in Litigation for one of the largest financial institutions in the United States. She managed complex class action litigation, oversaw regulatory compliance, and coordinated outside counsel nationwide, ranging from solo practitioners to major national and international firms. Amy’s in-house experience affords her a distinct dual perspective on the attorney-client relationship, and further positions her to effectively handle legal malpractice and attorney grievance matters.
Amy is also a classically trained pianist with a master’s degree in music theory and ethnomusicology. She taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona School of Music for several years before going to the University of North Texas to pursue a doctorate degree in music theory. She enjoyed teaching music and is keeping in touch with some of her students.
Outside of her legal practice, Amy continues to play piano and enjoys cooking, watercolor painting, golfing, and woodworking. She is fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Fujian in addition to English.
