Katrisha counsels and represents employers in a range of labor and employment matters in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies. She has represented clients in complex and sophisticated commercial litigation cases, contractual disputes involving commercial real estate and mortgage lending, as well as alleged violations of various employment statutes.

Representative Experience

  • Successfully first-chaired and secured defense verdict and obtained an award for a homeowners’ association on its counterclaim in a case involving the lack of repair to a septic system and breach of restrictive covenants
  • Defended national electronic parts distributor against claims of trademark infringement, conspiracy, violations of RICO, and misappropriation
  • Defended oil and gas companies against multiple property owner claims resulting from a brine spill and obtained favorable settlement
  • Defended and obtained “no-cause” finding with the Texas Workforce Commission on behalf of a Condominium Owner’s Association against claims the association violated the Fair Housing Act when it failed to provide a reasonable accommodation for an Emotional Support Animal
  • Negotiated and obtained favorable settlement for nationwide freight company in breach of contract case
  • Won motion to dismiss for defendant in delinquent ad valorem tax case
  • Negotiated and obtained favorable settlement for nationwide mortgage servicing company in case involving force placed insurance
  • Defended national security company against claims of age discrimination and retaliation claims
  • Defended prime contractor to the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency against claims of gender and age discrimination and retaliation
  • Represented global energy company to enforce non-compete and non-solicit provisions in employment contract
