As noted by Dean of the Law School Robert M. Wilcox, the “signature of the [new] building” is the Perrin Family Lobby. Enhancing the Perrin Family Lobby is a burnished bronze and garnet chandelier specially designed by Dale Chihuly. The chandelier is composed of approximately 800 glass forms in hues of garnet red and amber, is 11 feet high and weighs 1,150 lbs.

The Perrin Family Lobby was named in honor of the six generations of Perrin lawyers that attended the University of South Carolina, who are represented in a portrait in the lobby’s event space. One of the attorneys in the portrait is Ed Perrin, a founding member and the managing shareholder of Hallett & Perrin, P.C. Ed and his family are pictured to the left in front of the portrait.
