Leland C. de la Garza, a shareholder of the firm, was a featured speaker at the American Bar Association’s Bi-annual UPL School in Chicago in October 2017. Leland is the chairman of the Texas Supreme Court’s Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. Leland spoke on the impact a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision will have on how State Bar Associations and UPL Committees across the country regulate the unauthorized practice of law in light of federal anti-trust laws. Leland is a frequent speaker and author on subjects involving the regulation of the unauthorized practice of law.
