WE CLOSE DEALS! And we close them quickly. Perhaps we can best describe our real estate practice by listing a number of recent and on-going projects. A NYSE client recently acquired 39 restaurants throughout the US. We continue to represent an active residential subdivision developer. We represent a local investment syndicate that assembles land parcels for retail projects. Another client specializes in "wetlands" related real estate investment. One of our NYSE clients recently bought a restaurant facility in Dallas. Another client recently acquired a retail building in Lewisville. Due to low interest rates, we have represented borrowers in a number of refinancings of warehouse and office buildings. We continue to represent a publicly traded company on the sale/leaseback of restaurant properties. A regular part of our practice includes representing landlords and tenants in the negotiation of retail, industrial, and office leases. We represented Café Max in the acquisition, construction, and financing of a restaurant. We represented another local company in the acquisition, financing, and development of a medical office building in Dallas. Pending projects include the sale of two commercial warehouse buildings in Atlanta, the lease of a broadcasting site in Chicago, the acquisition of land and construction of a medical office building in North Dallas, the sale of land to a nationwide home improvement retailer, the sale of a $4 million tract in McKinney, Texas for a residential subdivision, and the acquisition and development of land in Colorado for a residential subdivision. We regularly represent contractors in the filing and perfection of mechanics liens. Last year we represented two clients in condemnation proceedings. We have also been busy representing banks who make real estate loans. We have recently closed several lot development loans and we have a $35 million mini-perm loan in process.
