We have a broad corporate and securities practice that includes the representation of public and private corporations, general partnerships, joint ventures, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, non-profit companies, trade organizations, sole proprietors and other forms of business entities, both nationwide and internationally. We represent clients in the full range of their legal and business activities, from organization, capital formation and financing through commercial transactions and merger and acquisition activities. One of our section’s greatest strengths is the diversity of our clients. We represent clients in a wide array of industries, including aerospace, broadcasting, construction, entertainment, financial services, food services, health care, insurance, manufacturing, packaging, personnel services, pharmaceuticals, real estate development, retailing, high technology and telecommunications. Consequently, we bring an inventory of broad industry experiences to our clients. Our clients range from highly sophisticated, NYSE-listed public companies to the youngest start-ups; from angel investors and venture capitalists to LBO funds and investment bankers. As a result, the scope of our services varies widely. For some clients, we supplement their in-house legal staffs by providing highly specialized advice in technical areas, such as SEC or campaign finance matters, or we handle discrete transactions such as significant acquisitions or public securities offerings. For other clients we may act, in effect, as general counsel with respect to all legal matters facing those clients. |
